A wedding weekend is not a wedding with extra parties attached, it is a different production, and the number that tells you how different is how many separate places your guests will gather.

At one camp weekend we ran eleven. A social hall, the docks, the pool, the pickleball courts, the tennis courts, the dining hall, a field, an amphitheater, the canteen, the field games, and a truck bed for the parade. Music started with breakfast at half past eight in the morning and carried through every meal, every game and every night of the weekend. That is not a DJ booking with more hours on it, it is a touring production that happens to be at a summer camp.

Most of the work is in the transitions. An event ends, the next one is not for a while, and if nobody has decided what happens in between then the weekend quietly loses its momentum and rarely gets it back the same day. Planning those stretches as deliberately as the events themselves is the whole discipline, and it is the part that does not appear on any quote.

Weekends are quoted from what they actually need rather than from a package, because a weekend across four gathering spaces and one across eleven are not the same job.

Rather than a single reception, we cover the full weekend arc, welcome party, ceremony, reception, after-party, lounges, and farewell brunch, with one in-house DJ, emcee, and lighting team for continuity across every event.
How many events are included in a Signature Wedding Weekend?
Most Signature Wedding Weekends include three to six produced events spanning Friday through Sunday. Typical line-ups include a Friday welcome cocktail party, the Saturday ceremony and reception, an after-party, and a Sunday farewell brunch or pool lounge. Every event is custom-built around the couple's schedule.

Signature Wedding Weekends are most popular in the Florida Keys, across the Upper Keys (Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada, Baker's Cay and Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo), the Middle Keys (Hawks Cay on Duck Key, Isla Bella in Marathon), and Key West (Casa Marina, The Reach, Sunset Key), as well as Naples and Marco Island in Southwest Florida and private resort venues throughout the Sunshine State. How is a Signature Wedding Weekend priced?
Signature Wedding Weekends are quoted custom based on the number of events, days, and add-ons. Packages typically begin in the low five figures and scale up with additional production elements such as live musicians, elevated lighting, photo booths, and multi-camera videography.
What's the difference between a Signature Wedding Weekend and just adding a welcome event?
A standalone welcome event is a one-off; a Signature Wedding Weekend is one creative team and one production plan from the welcome night through the farewell brunch. The same DJ, emcee, and lighting crew handle every event, callbacks land on Sunday morning that started Friday night, and you have one point of contact for the whole arc.
Do we get a single point of contact for the entire weekend?
Yes. One Modern Era producer owns the full weekend production plan and is your primary contact from the consultation through the Sunday farewell. The on-site team takes daily handoffs from that producer so nothing falls through the cracks between events.
What hosted welcome-night formats do you offer?
Custom wedding trivia, music bingo, name-that-tune, and live game-show formats are our most-booked welcome-night programming. They turn the welcome event into the moment guests text the couple about a week later, instead of a passive open-bar mixer.
How early should we book a Signature Wedding Weekend?
12-14 months out for peak-season Saturdays in any major destination market (Florida Keys winter, Berkshires foliage, Hudson Valley fall). International and resort-buyout dates often need 14-18 months. Locking the venue first is the single highest-leverage move — entertainment, lodging, and travel cascade from that decision.
