Film is the only record of your wedding that keeps the sound. Photographs hold what it looked like, and a film holds your dad's voice cracking in the middle of a toast, which is the thing most couples say afterwards they did not know they wanted.

We have two videographers on the roster and we are adding more, and they work directly against the same timeline as the DJ and emcee rather than discovering the running order on the day. That matters most for the moments that happen once and fast: the entrance, the reaction shot during a speech, the last thirty seconds of the night.

One practical note about drone footage. Modern Era does not hold an FAA Part 107 certificate as a company, so drone work is flown by individual artists who hold their own. If aerial footage matters to you, say so early and we will confirm who is available for your date rather than promising it and sorting it later.

What does wedding videography coverage include?
Standard videography coverage includes multi-camera ceremony capture, reception highlights, professionally edited 3-6 minute highlight film, ceremony audio captured via lavalier microphones, and an extended-cut feature film. Drone and same-day-edit options are available as add-ons.
When will we receive our wedding video?
Highlight films are typically delivered within 8-12 weeks of the event. Extended feature films and full ceremony cuts follow within 12-16 weeks.
How is this service priced?
Modern Era Weddings uses day-rate pricing rather than hourly billing — your DJ, photo, and video packages cover unlimited hours on the day of your event. Photo booth packages run a fixed 5 hours of active rental time (additional hours are available as an upgrade). Pricing depends on the artist or DJ you choose, venue location, equipment needs, and whether the service is part of a multi-event Signature Wedding Weekend. Every couple receives a custom quote within 24 hours of submitting a consultation request.
Where is this service available?
This service is available throughout Southwest Florida (Naples, Marco Island, Sarasota, Tampa, Fort Myers), the Florida Keys (Upper Keys: Key Largo & Islamorada; Middle Keys: Marathon & Duck Key; and Key West), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the Hudson Valley and Finger Lakes regions of New York. Travel is also available for destination weddings in the Berkshires, the Poconos, the DC metro, and nationwide.
How far in advance should I book?
For peak season (October-May in Florida, May-October in Pittsburgh) we recommend booking 9 to 12 months in advance. Off-season and short-notice bookings are accepted when availability allows.
Do you film in 4K?
Yes. Every Modern Era videography package is shot in 4K with cinema-grade cameras and professional audio capture (lavalier mics on the officiant, groom, and lectern; ambient room mics for reception). Final delivery is in 4K plus a 1080p web-friendly cut.
Is drone cinematography included or an add-on?
Drone cinematography is included in our destination videography packages and available as an add-on to standard packages. We hold FAA Part 107 certification and coordinate airspace clearance with the venue and (for destination weddings) the local aviation authority.
Can you produce a same-day-edit highlight reel?
Yes — same-day edits (a 60-90 second hype reel cut from morning getting-ready, ceremony, and early-cocktail footage and played back during the reception) are an add-on. Lead time on event day is roughly 4-6 hours from ceremony end to playback-ready file.
