This is where we learned the job, and not in the way that phrase usually gets used. Before there was a Modern Era and before there was a DJ MadMike, our founder was one of the youngest sound designers and lighting programmers working in the DC theatre scene, doing it while still in high school after coming up through the Maryland State Theatre.

That background is why this company thinks about a wedding the way a stage manager thinks about a show, with a running order and cues rather than a list of songs, and it is not a line we invented for a website, it is just what happens when somebody learns rooms in a theatre before they ever learn them in a ballroom.

About the market itself, the estates, clubs and historic houses out in the Maryland and Virginia ring are where we have actually done our work here rather than inside the District, and we would rather say that plainly than let a page imply otherwise. The city proper runs on museum and hotel logistics we would want to walk with you before promising anything about.
