Who is DJ MadMike?
DJ MadMike is a lead wedding DJ, emcee, auctioneer, and game-show host at Modern Era Weddings, joining the company's second wave of resident DJs in 2014 and specializing in destination weddings, multi-day Signature Wedding Weekends, and high-energy reception programming across Florida, Pittsburgh, and the East Coast.
MadMike is one of the lead artists on the Modern Era roster. He joined the company in 2014, after the founding wave of resident DJs, and has since become the producer couples request most for destination and multi-day events. He is not the founder of the company — Modern Era Weddings was started in 2010 — but he has been the public face of the brand across The Knot, WeddingWire, YouTube, and TikTok for over a decade.
On a wedding day his role usually blends three jobs that elsewhere would be staffed separately. He runs the music — open-format, read-the-room sets that cover ceremony, cocktail hour, and the full reception. He runs the room as emcee, moving guests through introductions, toasts, the first dance, parent dances, cake, bouquet, and any custom moments the couple wants to spotlight. And on Signature Wedding Weekend events he hosts the interactive segments — game-show formats, charity-auction moments, sing-alongs — that turn a sit-and-watch reception into a participate-and-remember one.
The markets he books most often are the Florida Keys, Naples, Pittsburgh, the Berkshires, the Poconos, and full destination weddings worldwide. He travels with his own backup gear and a second-chair tech on multi-day events, so a single equipment failure never takes the program down.
MadMike also maintains his own personal site at djmadmike.com, which carries his standalone reel and corporate / brand-event work. Wedding bookings, contracts, and Signature Wedding Weekend production all run through Modern Era Weddings.
