The weekends Mike describes do not all follow the same timeline. One camp celebration ran across four days, with music at meals, shared activities and ceremonies in different parts of the property. A resort weekend brought guests together for a welcome party before the wedding day.

A resort weekend at Cheeca Lodge
At a Cheeca Lodge wedding in Islamorada, guests came from around the country and all stayed at the resort. Modern Era provided a DJ and photo booth for the welcome party in the Oasis area. Guests mingled, met one another and did some dancing before the wedding day.
For the wedding day, the couple rented the casita side of the resort. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception took place there, with Modern Era providing the wedding entertainment. The welcome party and wedding shared a resort setting, but they were different gatherings with their own entertainment.
Mike remembers Stanley Panther joining the reception, dancing with the group and doing a little DJing alongside DJ Mad Mike. That appearance belongs to this wedding's story; it is not part of a standard weekend package.

Custom weekend design
We draft a full 3-day entertainment arc covering each event, Friday through Sunday: welcome party programming, ceremony and cocktail hour plan, reception flow, after-party (if applicable), and farewell brunch format. Music concepts and lighting ideas are included at this stage.
Planning portal access and vendor coordination
Once booked, you get access to our production planning portal for timeline building, song submission, and direct producer communication. We coordinate directly with your venue, planner, caterer, and any other vendors so the weekend timeline is one synchronized document.
Two-week walkthrough
Two weeks before the event we do a full timeline review with every vendor confirmed, load-in windows set, and all sound curfews noted. Your producer calls every venue contact so there are no surprises on the day.
Weekend production, start to finish
Your dedicated producer is on-site for every event from Friday load-in through Sunday farewell brunch teardown. One team, one creative vision, one point of contact for the entire weekend.
