Wedding DJ and Entertainment at The Pennsylvanian
The Pennsylvanian is the building that taught this company how to run a room.
Thirteen weddings since 2013. It is the venue I would put at the top of a list of the places that shaped Modern Era, and I have said so in writing more than once. When I wrote to the venue's event manager this month, I told her it was one of my favorite venues and one of the venues that helped shape my company, which is true and also slightly embarrassing to admit to somebody whose job it is to sell the room.
Where things stand today
The Pennsylvanian is operated by Placemakr. Modern Era is on the preferred vendor list, confirmed directly with the venue in September 2026.
What we bring

Working with the rest of your team
The entertainment plan is only as good as the timeline everyone is working from. On a 2025 wedding we played here, the planner circulated a shared timeline to the venue, the florist, photography, video, catering, bar and lighting ahead of the day. That is the version of this that works, and if your team is running that way we will work from your coordinator's timeline rather than build our own in isolation.
